Obituary for Agnes A. Hamilton
HAMILTON, AGNES A., age 87, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Wednesday January 2, 2019, at Isabella County Medical Care Facility.
A graveside service for Agnes will take place at Riverside Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 1 p.m. with Benjamen Evers officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to HATS of Isabella County, 1105 S. Isabella Rd., Mt. Pleasant, MI 48858.
Agnes was born July 30, 1931, in St. Albans, West Virginia, the daughter of Stanley C. and Maud (Dingess) Hamilton. She moved with her parents to Michigan around 1935. Her family lived in several communities, including Reed City and Grand Rapids, before settling in Mt. Pleasant in 1945. Agnes graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School with the class of 1949. She worked for over 20 years in Central Michigan University’s College of Business. Agnes enjoyed listening to music, taking walks and had a great love for animals.
Agnes is survived by cousins Betty Bias of Ft. Worth, TX; and Louella Kurle of St. Albans, WV.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister Imogene, who died before Agnes’ birth.
