Fonz was a beautiful and happy two-year-old baby boy with a wonderful sense of adventure, a strong will, and mischievous smile. He would often take off in any given direction without a second thought. Fonz was the youngest of six children and cherished as the baby of the family. He was very outgoing and loved tagging along with his big brother Asa and doing everything that his brother did from reading books, drawing, watching Spiderman, holding hands and cuddling with his Mom, being tickled, eating, and getting dirty. He loved swimming, bubbles, smiling, and laughing, especially with his brother, Xavier.

Asa’s big smile was one of his best characteristics. If anyone knew Asa, they will always remember his bright smile and eyes. Asa laughed and smiled throughout his three years of life here with his family, bringing joy and happiness to everyone he touched. He was always surrounded by his older siblings that all fluently spoke the language of Asa to decipher his every request. He was a loving big brother to Fonz, always playing outside together as they were an inseparable duo. Asa was a sweet hearted boy, who was full of life and loved getting dirty while playing with his favorite Lightning McQueen cars and other cars and trucks. He enjoyed watching Cars, Bluey, Minions, and Spidey and his Amazing Friends.

Asa and Fonz are survived by their mother, Morningstar Pelcher; siblings, Xavier, Kaiden, Isaac, and Mia; Grandparents Milton (Marcia) Pelcher of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan; Brenda Nozhackum of Mayetta, Kansas; Misho Jim Potts of Mayetta, Kansas; and numerous loving Aunts, Uncles, and cousins. Asa and Fonz are joined in death by their father, Jeremy Alvarez.

The boys were joyful and vibrant toddlers who enjoyed spending time playing with their siblings and playing so many games at home and at the park with their Mom. Though their lives were brief, their memories and their infectious smiles will live on with their family and friends forever. They were greatly loved by their families, as well as the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe and the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation communities. Alonzo’s Nishnabek name is Nek-ti and Asa’s Nishnabek name is Wahp-ship-shi.
