Obituary for Amber Lynn (Brown) VanAlstine

VanAlstine, Amber Lynn (Brown), age 37, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Friday, February 26, 2016, at St. Mary’s of Michigan Medical Center in Saginaw.

Funeral Services for Amber will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, February 29, 2016, at Clark Family Funeral Chapel with Rev. Sam Forney officiating. A luncheon will follow in the Reflections Reception Center. Interment will take place in Chippewa Township Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday, February 28, at Clark Family Funeral Chapel.

Amber was born on September 4, 1978, in Alma. Her parents are Scott Brown and Mark and Laura Cotter. She was blessed with a sister Autumn Cook (Russ Cook) and a step-sister Amanda Brown and 3 step-brothers, Jonathan Brown, Keith Cotter and Luke Cotter. Amber eventually married and had two beautiful children, Madison VanAlstine and Gabriel VanAlstine. She loved cooking, gardening, reading and writing. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. Her main love was her two children.

Amber is survived by her parents, children, grandmothers Alberta McBride, Joyce Brown and Mavelyn Cotter; grandfather Bob Beeson; her uncle and aunt Kent and April Vander Loon, aunt Marlea Ragsdale, and many other aunts, uncles and cousins. She had two very special people in her life, Al Bradley and Jeff Moulton.

Amber was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Merritt McBride, Loren Brown, and Dale Cotter; and her uncle Terry McBride and aunt Suzette Beeson.
