Obituary for Anita Mae Langlais (Normand)

LANGLAIS, ANITA MAE, age 83, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Monday, December 17, 2018, at the Isabella County Medical Care Facility, Memory Care Unit.

Anita will have a Graveside Memorial Service at Los Gatos Memorial Park in San Jose, California on Saturday, March 9, 2019, at 11 a.m. with Fr. Alan Arnone officiating. A meal will follow the memorial service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association, Isabella County Medical Care Facility Adult Day Program or the Memory Care Unit, or the Isabella County Commission on Aging.

Anita was born on March 24, 1935, in Haverhill, MA, the daughter of the late Edward and Dora (Dumas) Normand. She married Joseph Raymond Louis Langlais (also from Massachusetts) in Detroit, MI, on July 25, 1953.

Anita is survived by her seven children, David (Kathy) Langlais of Canton, IL, Anne-Marie (James) Dutcher of Mt. Pleasant, MI, Stephen (Vickie) Langlais of Cheyenne, WY, Michael (Shelly) Langlais of Scappoose, OR, Christopher Langlais of OK, Karen (Terry) Smith of Biloxi, MS, and Rebecca (Gary) Hough of Stephens City, VA; daughter-in-law, Yi Hong Langlais of San Francisco, CA; 9 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; brother, Robert Normand of Costa Rica; brother-in-law, Eugene (Toni) Langlais; and many nieces and nephews, including Eugene and Paul.

Anita was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph; son, Robert Langlais; parents; brothers, Edward and Richard; and sisters, Lorraine and Phyllis.

The family gives a sincere and heartfelt appreciation and thank you to the nurses and staff at the Memory Care Unit for their exceptional care of Anita for over six years.
