Obituary for April Marie Compo
COMPO, APRIL MARIE, age 45, of Lansing, passed away Wednesday, October 19, 2022, in Lansing, Michigan.
A Celebration of Life for April will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Saturday, October 29, 2022, at 1 p.m. The family will receive friends beginning at 12 p.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.
April was born in Lansing, Michigan, January 18, 1977, the daughter of Joseph and Elsie (Jackson) Compo. She was a member of Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe. April loved being a mom and grandma. She was a good cook; she also enjoyed painting, drawing, and beading. April liked to go dancing and joke around.
April is survived by her husband, Alvin Calhoun of Lansing; daughters Samantha (Anthony) Bonilla of Lansing, Justine Compo (Deshone Embry) of Lansing; son Alvin Compo of Lansing; grandchildren Xaviah, Delyan, Juan, Jr., As’Aleigha, Onyx, Eszahlynn; sister Kimberly Stowell (Angel Alvarez) of Mt. Pleasant; brothers Howard Compo (Ashley Alexander) of Wilson, Harold (Kari) Compo of WI; nephews Matthew Epps, Christopher Epps, Tom Epps, Zheesheeb Compo, Stone Compo, and niece Veronica Epps.
April was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers Joey and Jamie Compo.
