Obituary for Arlan James Durfee
DURFEE, ARLAN JAMES, age 74, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Monday, April 3, 2023, at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing.
Funeral Services for Arlan will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Monday, April 10, 2023, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Donald Newport and Pastor Daniel Hellmann officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Following interment, the family invites everyone to join them for a luncheon at Reflections Reception Center. The family will receive friends on Monday beginning at 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Wesleyan Holiness Chapel, 8900 S. Crawford Rd., Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, 48858. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.
Arlan was born in Mt. Pleasant, June 20, 1948, the son of Elmer and Mildred (Love) Durfee. He had a love for his country and served in the U.S. Army from 1968-1970. Arlan worked for General Motors for over 30 years before his retirement. He enjoyed hunting, camping, woodworking, and being outdoors. Arlan had a strong faith and personal walk with Jesus, he was a member of Wesleyan Holiness Chapel.
Arlan is survived by his sister Marlene Hellmann of Big Rapids; niece Sharon; and nephews Timothy and Daniel.
Arlan was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Mildred Durfee.
