Benjamin Lee Woods, age 56, of Mt. Pleasant passed away unexpectedly, Sunday, February 13, 2022.
Funeral Services for Ben will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Friday, February 18, at 1 p.m. with Benjamen Evers officiating. A Luncheon will immediately follow in the Reflections Reception Center. The family will receive friends the day of the service from 12 noon until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to a substance abuse support organization of your choosing. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.
Ben was born on July 12, 1965, in Mt. Pleasant, son of Thomas and Martha (Sherrill) Woods. He married Suzie Escamilla on April 14, 2001. Ben proudly served his Country in the United States Air Force. Following his time in the military, Ben worked as a lineman for the City of Bay City. He was a proud member of the IBEW Local 876. Ben loved to play golf and hockey. Ben recently purchased a cabin in Harrison and loved spending time riding his side-by-side and boats. He loved his "toys." Ben enjoyed being a host and throwing social events. He was an avid cook and loved BBQing for others.
Ben is survived by his children, Jeremy (Dahlia) Escamilla, Steven (Aimee) Woods, and Brianna Woods; grandchildren, Sergio Deleon, Selene Deleon, Vivianna Deleon, Cameron Baldwin, Mariano Escamilla, Marcello Escamilla, Mia Escamilla, Alivia Escamilla, Benito Escamilla, and Javier Escamilla; mother, Martha (Ronald) Williams; father, Thomas (Roxanne) Woods; siblings, Timothy E. Woods and his children, Trenton Woods and Sydnie Woods, and Cynthia K. (Lance Lalomia) Woods; step-siblings, Annie (Mark) Hill and their children, Nicholas and Chelsea (Nick) Struble, Theresa (Jeff) Byer; half-siblings, Cole (Ashley) Woods and Kasey (Matthew McGillis) Woods and their daughter, Madison McGillis; cousins, James Woods and Dena Woods, and their children, Tyler Woods, Sawyer Woods, Gabe Woods, and Savannah Woods; and his furry friends, Taylor, Buffy, and Diesel.
Ben was preceded in death by his wife, Suzie Woods.
