Obituary for Betty Joan Mullet (Phillips)
MULLET, BETTY JOAN, age 97, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Saturday, October 2, 2021, at her daughter's home after a short illness.
A Graveside Service for Betty will take place on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, in Memorial Gardens Cemetery at 12 noon. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Animal Treatment Society. Envelopes will be available at Clark Family Funeral Chapel.
Betty was born on August 21, 1924, in Farwell, daughter of William and Julia (Kaninsky) Phillips. She married John E. Mullet on April 21, 1949 at the Gilmore Church of Christ in Farwell. Betty graduated with a bachelors from CMU in education and worked as a teacher for close to 20 years. After retiring from teaching, Betty enjoyed working at Green Thumb and Valley Travel. Betty was a member of the First Church of Christ, Hospital Auxiliary, MARSP, GFWC, and the Red Hats.
Betty is survived by her children, Carol Mullet of Weidman and John Mullet of St. Petersburg, FL; niece and nephew, Jack Woodruff of Mt. Pleasant and Judy (John) Harris of Texas; special friends, Deb and Jerry Wilson of Mt. Pleasant; and many cousins and friends.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, John E. Mullet in 1997 and parents.
