Obituary for Blaine Arthur Kimewon
Kimewon, Arthur Blaine, age 53, of Lansing, Michigan passed away peacefully at his residence on Wednesday, May 20th, 2020.
Funeral services for Blaine are entrusted to Clarkâs Funeral Chapel in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan and Island Funeral Home in Little Current, Ontario, Canada.
Blaine worked for Meijers for 25 plus years where he was planning to retire and move back home to Canada to spend time with his sons and grandchildren and continue to enjoy the outdoors with his family and friends. He graduated from Eastern High School (Quakers), and attended Lansing Community College in the Arts program. He loved to draw and paint, and he enjoyed disk golfing, camping, and fishing. Blaine was born June 28th, 1966 in Little Current, Ontario. The son of Leonard (predeceased) and Elizabeth Kimewon, and special grandson of Angeline (Aazhniik) Kimewon of Murray Hill.
Blaine is remembered by special friend Bridgette Daybutch and survived by his loving children Gus (Veronica) Wemigwans of Ottawa, Jordan (Amber) Kimewon of Sault Ste. Marie, Eric (Trina) Kimewon-Wemigwans of Ottawa, Collin Kimewon of Sault Ste. Marie. 3 grandchildren Xavier, Raiden and Audrick. Survived by his Brother Larry (Shawn Sawmick) Kimewon of Mt. Pleasant, Sisters Vivian (Parker) McLeod of Sudbury, Marilyn (Ruben Manitowabi) Kimewon, Marlene (Wilson Manitowabi) Kimewon, and Peggy (Jerrold Webkamigad) Manitowabi of Wikwemikong. He is survived by his nieces Pamela, Hana, Taylor, Carmen, Alexis, Isabella and nephews Zane, Oscar, Preston. He will be deeply missed by his niece/Godchild Carmen. Special friends Shelley Wemigwans, Scott Flamand, Darlene Wemigwans, Henry Flamand, Rhonda Trudeau. Survived by and cherished by his special Aunty Helena Flamand and Emily Kimewon along with many other loving Aunties, Uncles, and Cousins. His dear friend Michael Lopez, Andre Brewer, and Meijers Family.
