Obituary for Bonnie Lou Bauder
BAUDER, Bonnie Lou (Torpey), age 90, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Monday, June 26, 2023, surrounded by loved ones, at her home in Mt. Pleasant.
A committal service for Bonnie will be held at the Memorial Gardens Cemetery Chapel on Friday, June 30, at 2:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to MidMichigan Hospice. Envelopes will be available at the cemetery.
Bonnie was born August 28, 1932, in Mt. Pleasant, the daughter of the late Leo and Reita (Harrison) Torpey. She was a graduate of Mt. Pleasant high school, class of 1950. Bonnie married Don “Scuff” Bauder on October 31, 1950. She held many positions at Mt. Pleasant Isabella Bank and Trust, retiring after 32 years. Bonnie was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church. She loved to read and visit any estate sales she could. Most of all Bonnie loved spending time with her, daughter, grandchildren, and special great-granddaughter.
Bonnie is survived by her daughter, Debbie Bauder of Mt. Pleasant; grandchildren, Shannon (Ricardo) Bryan of Georgia, Joshua Rease of Mt. Pleasant; great granddaughter, Louisa Bryan; brother, Russell (Pat) Torpey; sisters, Elouise Wilson, Elda Clark; brother-in-law, Don Kenny; sister-in-law, Lucile Torpey; many nieces and nephews.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents; Husband of 46 years, Don “Scuff”; sister, Shelby Kenny; brothers, Leo Torpey Jr., Dickie Torpey; infant sister, Onalee Torpey; brother-in-law, James Paul Wilson.
The Bauder family would like to extend a thank you to MidMichigan Hospice for their care of Bonnie in her final days.
