Obituary for Brian Richard Leszcz
Brian Richard Leszcz 39 of Farwell, passed away tragically on Tuesday, July 20, 2021. Brian was born June 5, 1982 in Detroit, Michigan the son of Richard Frank Leszcz and Linda Louise (Gogel) Leszcz. Mr. Leszcz had resided in Farwell since 1991, moving from Canton, Michigan. Brian graduated from Clare Pioneer High School in 2001.
Brian was passionate when it came to being outdoors, he enjoyed nature and all of its surroundings. He was a skilled fisherman and ice fisherman. Camping was a favorite way of life for Brian. Brian was very skilled in drawing and art work, creating several forms of art throughout the years.
Surviving Mr. Leszcz are his loving parents, Mr. and Mrs. Richard and Linda Leszcz of Farwell, two brothers: Christopher Leszcz and fiancée Amy Gullikson of Evansville, Indiana and Kevin Leszcz and wife Staci of Sterling Heights, Michigan, one niece, Anna Leszcz, one nephew, Lawrence Leszcz, two aunts: Patricia Stone of Novi, Michigan and Sandra Donnelly and husband Robert of Commerce Township, Michigan, five uncles: James Leszcz and wife Diana of Fenton, Missouri, Thomas Leszcz and wife Therese of Novi, Daniel Gogel of Warsaw, Missouri, Anthony Gogel and wife Teri of St. Charles, Missouri and Joseph Gogel and wife Vicki of Fenton, Missouri, plus many cousins and extended family members. Brian was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Aloysius and Bernice Gogel, paternal grandparents: Francis and Catherine Leszcz, one aunt, Sandra Gogel and two uncles: Robert Gogel and Fred Stone.
A funeral mass for Brian will be held at Our Lady of Hope Parish, St. Cecilia Site in Clare, 106 E. Wheaton Avenue, Clare, Michigan 48617, at 11:00 AM on Monday, August 9, 2021 with Monsignor Francis Koper officiating. A time of gathering will be held prior to services from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.; Inurnment will follow in the St. Cecilia Catholic Cemetery, Clare. Memorial gifts in memory of Brian may be considered to the Leszcz Family, in care of: Richard and Linda Leszcz. Arrangements and care of Mr. Leszcz are entrusted with Stocking Funeral Home, Harrison (989) 539-7810.
