ANCEL (ROBERTS), CAROL ANN, age 75, of Edmore passed away on Monday, December 19, 2016 at Mid Michigan Medical Center-Gratiot.
A Memorial Service for Carol will be held at Faith United Methodist Church in Edmore on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at 11:00 a.m., with a Luncheon in the Fellowship Hall immediately following the service. Visitation will take place on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Faith United Methodist Church. Envelopes will be available at the church.
Carol was born in Edmore to Morrell and Gladys (Smith) Slocum on December 1, 1941. She owned and operated Carol Ann's Beauty Shop in Edmore for many years, and worked for the Michigan Department of Corrections in St. Louis until her retirement in 2008. Carol was a member of the Edmore VFW Ladies Auxillary, served as a Trustee for the Village of Edmore, and also served as a board member for Home Township. She loved to travel, shop, bowl, and watch movies. Above all, Carol loved spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids.
She is survived by her two daughters, Stacy Roberts of Edmore, Lorena (Rob) Graves of Stanton; 5 grandchildren Heather (Gordy) Bogart, Rachel (Scott) Avery, Jennifer Beardslee, Gunnar Graves, and Tawny Graves; 5 great grandchildren Audrey, Mason, Kylee, Harper, and Olivia.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents.
