Obituary for Catherine Ellen Barrett
BARRETT, CATHERINE ELLEN, age 72, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Thursday, January 30, 2020, at McLaren Central Michigan Hospital.
Funeral Services for Cathy will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Thursday, February 6, at 2 p.m. with Benjamen Evers officiating. The family will receive friends the day of the service from 1 p.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Special Olympics. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.
Cathy was born on April 15, 1947, in Pontiac, MI, the daughter of Emerson G. and Ina "Beverly" (Bordner) Barrett. Cathy retired from MMI after 35 years. Cathy loved to color, do beadwork, and be the boss. She was an avid coffee lover and loved to socialize.
Cathy is survived by her mother, Beverly; sisters, Patricia (Joe) Sinko, Christina (James) Kaiser, Rosalia (Jason) Leyendecker, and Lisa (David) Garcia; many nieces and nephews including, Albert (Amber) Bias and their daughters, Maddie and Sarah, Jason (Emily) Bias, and their daughters, Vesper and Althea; dear friend, Amy Hovey; and many dear friends and loving caregivers.
Cathy was preceded in death by her father, Emerson; brothers, Donald and Dale Barrett; and step-father, Armando Arce.
