Obituary for Catherine Louise Jackson
JACKSON, CATHERINE LOUISE, age 74, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Sunday, May 9, 2021, at McLaren Bay Region in Bay City.
An Outdoor Funeral Service for Catherine will be held on Monday, May 24, 2021, at 2 p.m. at Clark Family Funeral Chapel-West Lawn Pavilion with Benjamen Evers officiating. The family will greet friends beginning at 12 noon until the time of the service. Interment will follow at Denver Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.

Catherine was born April 27, 1947, in Mt. Pleasant, the daughter of Simon and Cecelia (Elk) Jackson. She was a member of the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe and the Chippewa Indian Church. Catherine loved going to the casino, garage sales, and going for car rides. She also enjoyed playing bingo on her tablet and watching TV. She was a proud grandma and loved her grandkids and spending time with her family.
Catherine is survived by her son Mike Jackson; daughter Michelle Jackson; grandchildren Mason Jackson, Rebecca Jackson, Naomi Compo, Jenna Compo, Monica Compo, David Ray Jackson and Elaina Ray Jackson; brothers Delmar, Alvin, and David Jackson.
Catherine was preceded in death by her parents; son Pete Compo, Jr., granddaughters Cat Sprague and Makayla Jackson; brother Dejay Elk; and sisters Patricia Keshick, Lucille Jackson, and Elsie Compo.
