Obituary for Charles Richard "Chuck" Tegethoff Sr.

Charles “Chuck” Richard Tegethoff Sr. age 83 of rural Harrison passed away Saturday, May 6, 2023 at his home. Charles was born February 11, 1940 in Obion County, Tennessee the son of Clyde V. and Pauline R. (Jordan) Tegethoff. On November 7, 1961, Mr. Tegethoff was united in marriage to Ms. Katheryn R. Durbin in Lansing, Michigan. Chuck enlisted in the United States Army and honorably served his country during the Vietnam War. Soon after his honorable discharge from the Army, Chuck began his career as a tool and die maker, working many years with General Motors Corporation and Future Mold.
Mr. Tegethoff had resided in Harrison since 1996, moving from Potterville, Michigan and Dade City, Florida. Chuck spent countless years perfecting his golf game, which he was very passionate about. He also enjoyed fishing trips to Canada with family and friends, deep sea fishing in Florida, watching televised golf tournaments and golfing excursions to the south early in the spring each year.
Surviving Chuck is his loving wife of sixty-one years, Mrs. Katheryn R. Tegethoff of Harrison, two wonderful children: Sandy Thelen and husband Jim of Westphalia, Michigan and Charles “Richey” Richard Tegethoff Jr. of Zephyrhills, Florida, one grandson, Ethan Thelen of Westphalia, one brother, Jerry Tegethoff and wife Dorothy of Eaton Rapids, Michigan, many nieces, nephews and extended family members. Mr. Tegethoff was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Leon Tegethoff.
