THALMAN, CHARLES “CHARLIE” LEE, age 67, of Weidman, passed away Monday, August 15, 2022, at McLaren Central Michigan Hospital.
Funeral Mass for Charlie will take place on Tuesday, September 13, 2022, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Beal City with Father Tom Held officiating. A luncheon will immediately follow at the Knights of Columbus in Beal City. Interment of ashes will take place at a later date at Pere Marquette Cemetery in Ludington. In honor of Charlies favorite holiday, his family requests contributions be made for future Halloween parties at his home in care of: CenCare #3 Adult Foster Care Home, 1066 N. School Road, Weidman, MI 48893 or Mid Michigan Industries, 2426 Parkway Dr., Mt. Pleasant, MI 48858. Envelopes will be available at the church or Clark Family Funeral Chapel.
Charlie was born February 5, 1955, in Ludington, Michigan, the son of Linus and Margaret (Peplinski) Thalman, Sr. Music, singing, visiting with his family, and being at home with his CenCare family were among his favorite things. All holidays and celebrations, especially Halloween, brought him much happiness. He loved all the festivities and activities. Every day was a birthday for Charlie and delighted in telling friends and family happy birthday. He was humorous and loved time spent with his family, he had a special relationship with his great nieces and nephews. Charlie enjoyed going to “work at MMI.
Charlie is survived by his sisters, Kathleen (Stephen) Harrand of Midland, Karen (James) Bradley of Ontonagon, brother Linus (Sheresa) Thalman, Jr. of Ludington, nieces and nephews, Stephenie McVittie, Scott Harrand, Linus E. Thalman, III, Christopher Thalman, several great nieces and nephews, Aunt Barbara Peplinski, and his CenCare family.
Charlie was preceded in death by his parents; aunt and uncles, Joann and Bill Tolles, Thomas Peplinski, and Mary Ellen Mallette.
The family would like to extend their appreciation to the present and past staff at his CenCare home, especially Carolyn Roberts. They made Charlie’s time there very special.
