Obituary for Colleen Ann Parmalee (Woodring)

Colleen Ann (Woodring) Parmalee (73), of Remus, passed peacefully from this life into the next
December 1, 2022 at McLaren Central Michigan Hospital.

Colleen was born in Lansing, MI on December 17, 1948, the daughter of Curtis and Agnes (Murray) Woodring. She graduated from Lansing, Waverly High School in 1967. After high school, Colleen graduated from cosmetology school and worked for 30+ years as a cosmetologist and hairdresser. She also worked for 23 years as a waitress and bar tender at the Green Spot Pub and Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort, in Mount Pleasant, MI.

The most important thing in Colleen’s life was always her family. She was Daddy’s little girl until his

no better sister and friend than Colleen.” Colleen married Lonie Parmalee on November 7, 1970 and
they were married for 27 years. They lived in Lansing and then in the Mt. Pleasant area since 1980. Her
children were her pride and joy. Carlie, Jamie, and Lonie were the center of her world and she was the
center of theirs.

Colleen is survived by her three children, Carlie Jo (Richard) Bean, Jamie Lynn Meyer (Luke Frisbey), and
Lonie Ryan Parmalee (Krissy Krappe); grandchildren, Jared Bean, Kylie Bean, Trevor Meyer, Gracie
Meyer, Skylar Ryan Krappe, Jacob Andrew Parmalee, and Aubrey King; her sister Bonnie (Sam) Gokee,
two stepsons, Ross Alan (Laurie) Parmalee and Chad Michael (Roschenne) Parmalee; several cherished
nieces and nephews; and life-long friends Jan Anderson Hunt and Doris Hinds Fox . Colleen was
preceded in death by her parents, and her brother Gary Woodring.
