Obituary for Connie Marie Billings

BILLINGS, CONNIE MARIE, age 77, of Mt. Pleasant, formerly of St. Louis, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 3, 2021, while at the Prestige Place of Clare.

The family will receive friends for a public visitation at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, January, 6, from 5 to 9 p.m. A Private Funeral Service for Connie will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, January 7, 2021. Friends are invited to attend the services via a live broadcast by visiting the webcasting link at Connie’s Book of Memories at www.clarkfuneralchapel.com or www.facebook.com/clarkfuneralchapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the West Midland Family Center. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.

Connie was born on August 24, 1943, to Benny and Clara (Rohn) Green. She graduated in 1962 from Breckenridge High School. She married Murle "Sonny" Billings on September 1, 1962. They were blessed with 58 years of marriage. She loved her family. Connie enjoyed baking cookies, garage saling, antiquing, traveling, flower gardening, and arts & crafts. Connie worked as a cook, nurse, daycare provider, volunteered at the Gratiot Hospital, was a Girl Scouts Leader, and a T.O.P.S leader at the West Midland Family Center.

She will be dearly missed by her husband, Murle Billings; children, Marie (Rob) Mogg, Christopher Billings, Connie Garhart, Nicole (Scott) Snyder, Kassandra (Wyatt) Long, and Bobbiejo (Ralph) Galehouse; grandchildren, Laura (Cole) Marlatt, Bethann Billings, Nathaniel Mogg, Benjamin Billings, Kayte Billings, Kristiena Billings, Kylie Galehouse, Ralph Galehouse, Jr., Danielle Long, Preston Galehouse, and Anneliese Long; great-granddaughter, Karlee Marlatt; sister, Bonnie Vincent; sisters-in-law, Marylou Farlow and Sally Jean Sexton; brother, Ray Schultz; brothers-in-law, Duane Billings, Tim Billings, and Greg Billings; and many nieces and nephews, whom loved her dearly.

Connie was preceded in death by parents; siblings, Larry Green, Jane Wolfington, Roy Schultz; brothers-in-law, Frank Vincent and Charles Currier; sisters-in-law, Charlene Billings and Beverly Adams; and son-in-law, James Garhart.
