Obituary for Connie Jean Latham
LATHAM, Connie Jean (Tupper), age 66, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at her home.
Connie was born May 9, 1957, in Alma, the daughter of the late Kenneth and Bonnie (Tupper) Schrock. She was a graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School class of 1975. Connie retired in 2009 after many years of service at the Mt. Pleasant Center. She was a proud dedicated member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary post 3033. Connie loved nothing more than spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was always taking care of all the people in her life especially her family and she will be greatly missed by all the hearts she touched. She was always giving someone a hand, organizing an event, and planning a meal for a holiday or birthday. In many ways she was the glue of the family, and she could bake a cake and give you a haircut or curl your hair for the event, all you had to do was ask. She lived an honorable, wonderful, caring, and loyal life.
Connie is survived by her children, Catherine (Hugh) Denman and Christopher Latham; grandchildren, Cheyenne Denman, Austin Denman and Hannah (Keghan) Watkins; great-grandchildren: Raelyn and Kyler Watkins; sisters, Judy McCrackin, Debora Parnell; siblings by marriage, Marcia Collins, Bruce (Sandra) Schrock; sisters-in-law, Jo Bollman, Julie Meyer, Jan Maeder; cousin, Lynn Onstott; father of her children, Chelsea Latham Jr.; many nieces and nephews.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Bonnie; in-laws, Mazie and Chelsea Latham, Sr.; brothers-in-law, Mike McCrackin, Kevin Collins.
Per Connie’s wishes cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life for Connie will be held at the Mt. Pleasant VFW Post 3033 on Friday, June 2, 2023, at 1 P.M. A meal will follow services at the VFW. Memorial contributions may be made to the wishes of the family. A burial of ashes at Fairview Cemetery of Weidman will take place on a later date.
