KRIPA, CORANNA LOUISE, age 90, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away surrounded by her family on Tuesday, December 20, 2016, at her home in Mt. Pleasant.

Funeral Services for Coranna will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, December 23, 2016, at Clark Family Funeral Chapel with Pastor Mike Rhodabarger officiating. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until the time of Service on Friday at Clark Family Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.

Coranna was born on September 8, 1926, in Mt. Pleasant, the daughter of Freddie and Helen Marie (Wixson) Wardwell. She graduated from nursing school in 1968 with an LPN degree and worked for over 15 years at the Mt. Pleasant Regional Center. Coranna married Lewis Shaner on April 4, 1944, who preceded her in death. She then married Daniel Kripa on January 5, 1980, who preceded her in death. Coranna enjoyed crocheting and quilting.

Coranna is survived by her children, Connie (William) Wilkie of Weidman, Collene (Shaner) Mura (friend Dale) of Holt, Coralee Snider of Rosebush, Leslie (Pam) Shaner of Mt. Pleasant, and Colette (Corser) Ford of Mt. Pleasant; 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husbands Lewis Shaner and Daniel Kripa, Coranna was also preceded in death by her son, Lewis TJ Shaner, siblings and sons-in-law Carl Corser, Sr., Dale Snider and Jean Mura.
