Obituary for David Lee Cluley

David Lee Cluley, age 67, of Shepherd MI, passed away Friday, February 11, 2022 at Mid-Michigan Medical Center Midland.

Cremation has taken place at Daisy Hill Crematory. A memorial service will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at 3 p.m. with Jean Thrush officiating. A luncheon will follow in Reflections Reception Center. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to wishes of the family. Envelopes will be available at Clark Family Funeral Chapel.

David was born on July 30, 1954, in Mt. Pleasant, the son of Wallace and Dolores (Fike) Cluley. He graduated from Mt. Pleasant Public Schools with the class of 1972. David worked in construction and went on to retire from the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America, Local union 687 out of Detroit MI. He married Carla Hamlin on June 10, 2011, in Mt. Pleasant. David was known for being an avid outdoorsman, he loved spending time hunting, fishing, chasing coyotes in his truck, bouncing around in the salmon boat, and hanging out at camp David. He also enjoyed just sitting in his easy chair with his dogs, or as David would say, “My three Bitches”. Above all other things, David was proud of his grandchildren. It never mattered what he was doing, he always found a way to brag about them.

David is survived by his wife Carla Cluley of Shepherd; Christopher (Bambi) Cluley of Mt. Pleasant, Heather (Amit) Bar-Or Wynnewood, PA, Nicholas (Christine) Cluley of Shepherd and their mother, Teresa Stevens of Mt. Pleasant, eight grandchildren; Autumn Joy Kindred, Connor Emmerson Cluley, Owen Jacob Smith, Johnathon Liam Smith, Liora Ann Bar-Or, Hannah Elisa Cluley, Emmaline Ryan Cluley, Wesley David Cluley, one great-grandchild; Rezzlyn Joy Burns, mother; Dolores Cluley-Lockwood, brother; Dennis (Cathy) Cluley of Rosebush, sister; Diane Barnard of Grand Rapids.

David is preceded in death by his father Wallace Joe Cluley.
