Obituary for Dellamae Mitchell
Mitchell, Dellamae, age 93 of Mt. Pleasant, passed away on December 29, 2022.
Dellamae was born on January 28, 1929 in Harrison, the daughter of Hobert Lawton Beavers and Goldie Elizabeth (Bailey) Beavers. She married Everett Morris Mitchell on March 17, 1951 in Farwell.
Dellamae was a homemaker who loved caring for her family.
Dellamae is survived by her children: Gary (Mary Beth Quillin) Mitchell of Grand Rapids and Cindy (Roger) Holt of Mt. Pleasant; grandchildren, Candice (Adam) Kantor of Linwood, Minnesota, and Mitchell (Jennifer) Holt of Wyoming, Michigan; great-grandchildren, A.J., Andrew, and Addison Kantor.
Dellamae is also survived by; brothers, Hobert Dale (Marjorie) Beavers of Harrison, Dee Ford (Jan) Beavers of Farwell, Dean Laroy (Mary) Beavers of Farwell; sister, Melba Jean Dixon of Farwell.
Dellamae is preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Gail Ann (Beavers) Miller and her husband Terry Miller. Dellamae was also preceded in death by her brother-in-law Vern Dixon and sister-in-law Gloria Beavers.
Dellamae was an avid Detroit Tigers baseball fan, she enjoyed reading, puzzles. and adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also was a master of perfect no-bake chocolate cookies, and always brought them to family gatherings. She wrote lots of letters and always included stickers when the letters were to the great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Dellamae will be held at Community of Christ Church in Farwell Michigan on Monday, January 2, 2023, at 11 a.m. with Elder Peter Smith officiating. A luncheon will immediately follow at the church. The family will receive friends on Monday at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to ProMedica Hospice or the charity of donor’s choice. Envelopes will be available at the church.
