Obituary for Dennis Allen Kingsbury
Kingsbury, Dennis Allen, age 72, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Sunday, July 31, 2022 at McLaren Central Michigan.
Cremation has taken place at Daisy Hill Crematory. Per Dennis’ wishes, there will be no services. Memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled Veterans National Foundation. Envelopes will be available at Clark Family Funeral Chapel.
Dennis was born on October 18, 1949, in Saginaw, MI, the son of E. Wayne Kingsbury and Nila (Dennings) Kingsbury. He graduated Arthur Hill High School with the class of 1967 and earned a bachelor’s degree from Central Michigan University in Computer Science and Mathematics. Dennis married Rose Nowicki on September 12, 1970, in Saginaw. He proudly served in the United States Army, retiring with the rank of 1st Sergeant in 1989. After his military career, Dennis worked for Dow Chemical. He was a skilled software developer. Dennis was an avid reader; he especially loved science fiction. He enjoyed traveling and playing chess.
Dennis is survived by his wife: Rose; daughter: Holly (Anthony “Tony”) Viaches, of East Lansing; grandchildren: Ethan and Alicia Viaches; brothers: Rick (Deborah) Kingsbury of Midland, David Kingsbury of Kentucky, and Steven (Melanie) Kingsbury of Clare; and sister: Sandra (Larry) Mader.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, son: Scott, and brother: Rodger.
