Obituary for Denver George Perkins

Denver George Perkins, age 82, of Farwell, formerly of Clare, passed away Saturday, February 10, 2024, at home under the care of Heartland Hospice.

Per Denver's wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal services are planned at this time. Interment of ashes will take place in Cherry Grove Cemetery in Clare. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, American Cancer Association, or the American Diabetes Association. Envelopes will be available at Clark-Stocking Funeral Chapel.

Denver was born on September 4, 1941, in Clare, son of Wayne and Elsie (Simpson) Perkins. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed bowling on several leagues at Gateway Lanes. Denver enjoyed hunting and fishing, but most importantly he loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Denver is survived by his wife, Kay Perkins; children, Denver "Robert" (Celena) Perkins of Coleman and Lisa Wakefield of Farwell; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Denver was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Donna (Gary) Tichgelaar.
