Obituary for Derrick Cooper Rinard
RINARD, DERRICK COOPER, age 12, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at his home.
A Memorial Service for Derrick will be held on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at 1 p.m. at Potter’s House Family Worship, 5346 E. Deerfield Rd., Mt. Pleasant, MI 48858, with Pastors Ron and Carla Ives officiating. A luncheon will immediately follow at Potter’s House. The family will receive friends beginning at 11 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family. Envelopes will be available at the church or Clark Family Funeral Chapel.
Derrick was born in Edmore, Michigan, April 25, 2009, the son of Kevin and Katherine (Sherwood) Rinard. Derrick had a genuine love for helping others, animals of all kinds, and most of all loved his family. He had the best sense of humor and loved to joke with his family. He dearly loved spending time with his sister, brothers, niece and nephews. Derrick was a member of Potter’s House Youth Group and was looking forward to his upcoming mission trip to Oklahoma with his church family.
Derrick is survived by his mother Katherine Rinard of Mt. Pleasant; sister Andrea Rinard (Tyler Lear) of Sheridan; brothers Dakota Rinard and Dyland Rinard both of Edmore; paternal grandfather George Rinard of Edmore; niece Bella Lear; nephews Noah Lear and Bentley Rinard; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins who will miss him dearly.
Derrick was preceded in death by his father Kevin Rinard; and paternal grandmother Kathy Rinard.
