DUNBAR, DOLORES MAE, age 89, of Midland, passed away Friday, September 23, 2022, at Toni and Trish Hospice House in Auburn.
Cremation will take place at Daisy Hill in Mt. Pleasant. A private family service will be held. Memorial contributions may be made to Toni & Trish House, 4699 11 Mile Road, Auburn, Michigan, 48611.
Dolores was born May 6, 1933, in Midland, the daughter of Lester and Mina (Meyers) Yaxley. She married Frederick James Dunbar on September 29, 1950, in Midland. Fred preceded her in death on March 7, 2022. Dolores was a member of the postal workers Women’s Auxiliary. She loved to play bingo, and liked camping, fishing, hunting, and outdoor sports.
Dolores is survived by her daughters Terrhie Harper of Midland, Fayette (Ray) Durham of Lexington, SC; grandchildren Jackie, Jason, Jodie, Amanda; 11 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren; brother Roy (Karen) Ferris of Gladwin; sisters Betty Cassidy of Flint, Carol Wasmuth of Coleman, Darlene Martin of Beaverton, Rosemary (Roger) Wise of Mason, Linda (Gary) Gurk of Beaverton.
Dolores was preceded in death by her parents; husband Fred; brother Allan Ferris; and infant brother Charles Yaxley.
