FLORIAN, DONALD ALBERT, age 79, of Lake, passed away Sunday, September 11, 2022, at his home.
Funeral Services for Don will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Thursday, September 15, 2022, at 3 p.m. with Pastor Dar Blanshan officiating. Burial will follow at Gilmore Township Cemetery. A luncheon will be held at the Weidman Baptist Church. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Nottawa-Sherman Fire Department. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.
Don was born in Lansing, Michigan, May 17, 1943, the son of Albert and Estella (Leist) Florian. He married Rosemary Battleshaw on November 20, 1961, in Mt. Pleasant. Don owned and operated his heating and air conditioning business, Florian and Sons Sales and Service, for 50 years. He was a member of the New Lothrop Fire Department in New Lothrop, where he was always passionate about the annual Muscular Dystrophy fundraisers. Don and Rosemary loved traveling to Alaska and Florida. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.
Don is survived by his wife Rosemary Florian; sons Michael (Annette) Florian of Shepherd, Gary (Cheryl) Florian of Lake; grandchildren Amanda, Michael, Jr., Chary, Victoria, Adam, Christopher, Amber; 22 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchildren; brothers Paul Florian, Keith (Yvette) Florian of PA, Jim (Beverly) West of FL.
Don was preceded in death by his parents; sister Ellen; and brothers Dennis and Russell.
