Obituary for Donald Lee "Don" Hartley
Donald “Don” Lee Hartley, age 56, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Friday, February 24, 2023 at Mclaren Bay Regional Hospital.
Funeral Services for Don will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Thursday, March 2, 2023, at 1 p.m. with Ben Evers officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 12 p.m. until the time of service. A luncheon will immediately follow in the Reflections Reception Center. Memorial contributions may be made to the wishes of the family. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.
Don was born February 3, 1967, in Detroit, the son of Donald Leroy Hartley and Linda (Lucas) Dechape. He worked as a material handler for Morbark. Don married Tammy Wilson on June 19, 2019 in Mt. Pleasant and will be greatly missed by her.
Don enjoyed spending time in nature. He often would go boating, kayaking and fishing. Don recently started renovating his grandparents house and found great joy in it. He loved taking rides on his Harley Davidson, but above all he loved his family.
Don is survived by his wife, Tammy Hartley; children, Kolin (Kassi) Hartley, Nicole Hartley, Melissa Hartley; 6 grandchildren, Haven, Kayden, Arianna, Ember, Amiyah, Addie; mother and step-father, Linda (Gerard) Dechape; brother, Johnnie Hartley; sister, Shelly (Bill) Long; and many very special aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Don was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lorie (Florence) Lucas; grandfather, Tom Hartley; father, Donald Hartley; granddaughter, Layla Connors.
