Obituary for Donald W. Worthington
DONALD W. WORTHINGTON, Age 78, of Farwell, MI, formally of West Bloomfield, MI, passed peacefully on February 13, 2021.
He is survived by his wife Patricia of 58 years, along with his three children, Anne Marie (Jon) Hancock, Jeffrey Worthington, and Shannan Knapp. He also leaves behind a sister, Barb Worthington, and brother Tim Worthington. Don enjoyed and took great pride in his grandchildren, Cody (Alexa) Hancock, Kellie (George) Cornell, Victoria Knapp, Allison Knapp, Sydney Worthington, and Ashley (Anthony) Heath. He especially loved visiting with his many grand puppies.
He is preceded in death by his parents Floyd and Ida Worthington, along with sisters Eleanor O’Leary and Deborah Gasser.
Don was hard working and of a strong work ethic, both of which he passed on to his children, along with his great love of the water and great taste in music. He was most happy when surrounded by family or friends, had an insatiable need to be right and was always more than ready to tell you what was on his mind.
It was Don’s recent wish, to forego any formal services. A private remembrance gathering for his immediate family will be held later. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Don’s name to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, a charity dear to his heart.
