Obituary for Donavon Schutt
SCHUTT, DONAVON, age 93, of Rosebush MI, passed away on Monday, February 28, 2022, at Comfort Care of Mt. Pleasant.
Funeral services for Donavon will take place at Clark Funeral Chapel Friday, March 4, 2022, at 11 A.M. The family will receive friends on Thursday March 3, 2022, from 4 - 8 P.M. and Friday from 10 am until the time of service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Commission on Aging.
Donavon was born to Irving and Sarah (Marshall) Schutt on Sunday, April 15, 1928, in Rosebush Michigan. At 18 years old, Donavon hauled milk for Borden as his first job. He went on to work as a utility man for Dow Corning. He Married Veronica Daniel on December 1, 1962, in Morrice, MI. Donavon enjoyed square dancing and traveling in campers. He loved to work with his hands, work on cars and other projects. He was an avid Detroit Tigers fan and loved to watch the ball game with his family.
Donavon is survived by his wife Veronica of 59 years; daughters: Lynette Schutt of Grand Rapids, Cheryl (Peter) Vogel of Weidman, sons: J. Wesley (Cheryl) Schutt of Beal City, and Eugene Michael (Stacy) Schutt of Shepherd; brothers: Dale (Sharon) Schutt of St. Louis, MI, Wayne (Sonia) Schutt of Mt. Pleasant; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Donavon was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Lyle Schutt, Alvin Schutt, Roland Schutt, Lorne Schutt and Junior Schutt; sisters, Velma West, Veronica Methner and Esther Chalderwood; and many honorable In-laws.
