Obituary for Donna Hamlin (Blohm)
Donna Maxine Hamlin age 88 of Harrison, passed away Sunday, January 6, 2019 at Medilodge of Clare. Donna was born May 23, 1930 in Jackson, Michigan the daughter of Fred William Blohm and Alice (Robey) Blohm. Donna was united in marriage to Mr. Roy Harrison Hamlin on February 6, 1971 in Adrian, Michigan. Mr. Hamlin preceded Donna in death on October 16, 1996 after twenty-five years of marriage.
Mrs. Hamlin had resided in Harrison since 1991, moving from Adrian. Donna was a member of the Women of the Moose Chapter #1804-Harrison and the Harrison Golden Moose. For several years, Donna lovingly made lap robes for the Harrison V.F.W. Post 1075. Donna volunteered at Tendercare of Clare for over twenty-one years providing care and friendship to the residents.
Surviving Mrs. Hamlin is her daughter, Joan Randolph and husband Bill of Adrian, two sons; Jack Elliott of Gaylord, Michigan and Jeffry Elliott and wife Linda of Adrian, eighteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild, plus many extended family members. Donna also was preceded in death by her parents and two sons; Gary Elliott and Darl Elliott.
