Obituary for Donna Jeanne Parr
Donna Jeanne Parr (Beaupré), age 79, passed away February 21, 2024.
Per Donna’s wishes, cremation has taken place at Daisy Hill Crematory of Mt. Pleasant and a celebration of life will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at 11 a.m. with Karen Latham and Dana Hendershot officiating. A luncheon will follow in the Reflections Reception Center. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the start of service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Community Compassion Network. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.
Donna was born May 6, 1944, in Hardwick, VT, the daughter of the late Roland and Frances (Warren) Beaupré. She married the love of her life Richard Parr on August 13, 1966 in St. Johnsbury, VT. Donna earned Bachelors and Masters degrees in Education and taught in the Mt. Pleasant Public School system for over 20 years, retiring in 2007.
Donna was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church and Faith Weavers of St. Mary. Known for her kindness and compassion, she was an active volunteer at the Isabella County Community Cancer Services, the Infant Pantry, and the Mt. Pleasant Hospital. Donna enjoyed attending sporting events, theater productions, playing games and cards, tending her flower and vegetable gardens, and traveling. More than anything, she treasured spending time with family and friends.
Donna is survived by her sons, Brian (Laura) Parr of Aiken, SC, Kevin (Maia) Parr of Wenatchee, WA.; grandchildren, Noah Parr, Owen Parr, Simon Parr all of Aiken, SC, and Mason Parr of Wenatchee, WA.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Reverend Bradley Beaupre, and husband of 49 years, Richard Parr.
