Dorothy was born on November 28, 1934, in Pineville, KY, the daughter of Richard and Lucy (Blanton) Asher. One of her greatest joys in life was bringing people to Jesus by always demonstrating His love to others. Dorothy was passionate about caring for children, helping to foster several over the years. She loved all of God's creations, including flowers, rocks, and her dogs. She married the love of her life, Marlin "Spike" Kerr on March 26, 1955, in Wyandotte, MI, and is now reunited with him in Heaven. They are rejoicing with so many loved ones who are there to greet her.

Dorothy is survived by her children, Terry (Renita) Kerr, Deborah (William) Yeagley, Marlin Randall Kerr, and Jeffrey (Chris) Kerr; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Emma Willford and Faye Aldridge.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Marlin, of 63 years in 2013; parents; brothers, Bill (Ina) Asher and Larry (Joanne) Asher; and brothers-in-law, Larry Willford and Eugene Aldridge.
