As crazy young teenagers, you couldn't tell us that we couldn't do it! This was regarding most things that came up in life... For example, In the Blizzard of "78" DJ (Doug and I just Had to be out to see if everyone was alright}.... We had the chevy pickup truck from Spinning Wheels, with a 454 corvette engine in it and Plowed through through the big snow drifts Blowing them up like waves hitting a boat, with his teeth grit, both hands on the wheel We made our way from the comforts of a warm trailer house down old mission rd several miles out of town to his brother Robs place to see what they were doing..... We were Super heroes that night protecting absolutely nobody! Because everyone with any common sense was staying inside that night due to the blizzard.. Our adventures didn't just end at the county line either..... DJ moved down to Oklahoma a year after I moved there after I asked him if he wanted to see a whole new world... I watched my friend through a lot of different moments in his life, and I was and still am very happy to have been there with him. We were roller skating fools when we were young... just some country kids who loved to laugh. I was lucky to visit my friend a couple more times after a couple decades apart, no more adventures for us.. just alot of good memories....
