Obituary for Dustin Luther Dunn

Dustin Luther Dunn, age 26, passed away suddenly on January 20, 2023.

Dustin was born on April 27, 1996, in Lansing, to Lonnie and Sandra (Dunn) Morrow. Dustin at an early age saw his mom pass away to the horrible disease of cancer. Dustin loved people. He was smart, bright, and lived a life that kept others in wonder. In his early adolescence and after his mom died, he felt the pressures of life crashing in on him and entered the foster care system. Did he love this; no, but he kept his chin up making new friends wherever life led him. He told his second foster family, John and Joan Hansen, that he hated not knowing where he was living or who he would be living with. Dustin was adopted by John and Joan and when he turned 17 decided to move back to his hometown and with his family. We are sure that if Dustin could send the world a message today it would be this: “You are loved, never give up, love yourself and those around you. Treat others with respect and speak the truth in love to those you have contact with. Resist the temptations of this world and seek help when in need.” Dustin’s family miss him horribly.

Dustin is survived by his father, Lonnie Morrow; adopted parents, John and Joan (Lange) Hansen; siblings, Alicia (Van) Mccall, Levi (Courtney) Brown, Brook Morrow, Latosha (Matthew) Martin, Mathew (Tawny) Brown, Lonnie Ray Morrow; uncle, Forrest Dunn; and many nieces and nephews.

Dustin was preceded in death by his mom, Sandra (Dunn) Morrow.

A Memorial Service for Dustin will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Friday, January 27, 2023, at 11 a.m. with Reverend John Hansen officiating. A luncheon will follow at the Weidman Community Center. The family will receive friends at the funeral chapel on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
