Obituary for Edmund Leroy Langlois

LANGLOIS, EDMUND LEROY, age 74, of Remus, formerly of Rosebush passed away Saturday, October 23, 2021, at Medilodge of Clare under the care of Compassus Hospice.

Funeral Services for Ed will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel Thursday, October 28, 2021, at 11 a.m. with Benjamen Evers officiating. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 27, from 4 to 8 p.m. Visitation will continue the day of the service from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Woodland Hospice House. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.

Ed was born on April 12, 1947, in Mt. Pleasant, son of Edmund James and Beverly Ann (Canute) Langlois. He married Lorena "Reni" Lorraine Lauer on September 26, 1969. Edmund worked for Ferro Manufacturing for 16 years, Car Quest Auto Parts, and drove bus for ICTC. Ed loved to go fishing and his PBR. He was an avid Harley Davidson rider, old muscle cars, and truck aficionado and enjoyed driving and traveling across the back roads of Michigan.

Ed is survived by his daughter, Candace Lorraine (Langlois) Coffell, husband Dan Coffell; and by his son, Edmund Joseph Langlois, wife Kerry (Small) Langlois; 3 grandchildren, Jasmine Lorraine Coffell, Dylan William Coffell, and Karana Laken Langlois; brother, Samuel Kaye Langlois of Mt. Pleasant.

Ed was preceded in death by his wife, Reni Langlois in 2010; parents; and brother, Michael David Langlois.
