MCDONALD, EDNA MAE, age 75, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Friday, January 26, 2018, at McLaren Central Michigan Hospital.

Funeral Services for Edna will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, January 31, 2018, at 1 p.m with Pastor Wally Hostteter officiating. A Luncheon will immediately follow in the Reflections Reception Center. The family will receive friends the day of the service from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Community Cancer Services. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.

Edna was born on August 26, 1942, in Mt. Pleasant, the daughter of Wilbur and Anna (Miller) Young. She graduated from Blanchard High School, the class of 1961. Edna married William McDonald on May 13, 1967, in Weidman. Edna and Bill farmed most of their lives, retiring in 1994. Edna then went on to work in housekeeping at the Soaring Eagle Casino for 11 years. She attended the Mt. Pleasant Community Church and enjoyed gambling, going on walks, and sewing. Edna loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Edna is survived by her children, Lewis (Barb) McDonald of Beaverton, Lori (Al) Swain of Austin, TX, and Anna (Joseph Levesque) McDonald of Mt. Pleasant; 7 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and brother, Gordon Young of Edmore.

Edna was preceded in death by her husband Bill in 2004; parents; brothers, Edward and Norman; and sister, Mildred.
