Edward A. Proszkowski, age 72, of Redford, Michigan, was welcomed by his Lord and Savior to eternal life on Tuesday, July 19, 2018. Ed was born on July 31, 1945, in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Edmund Proszkowski (DOD 11/2/1985) and Frances (nee Ziolkowski) (DOD 6/21/1995). Edward was the father of Deborah (DOB 11/4/1967) and Denise (DOB 1/26/1971) from his marriage to ex-spouse, Sharon. Ed was graduated from Hazel Park High School in the Class of 1963. On May 28, 1982, Edward married Sandra Lee Land (nee Whiting). They had no children.
Surviving Edward at the time of his death was his beloved wife, Sandra Lee (Whiting) of Redford, Michigan, loving sisters, Patricia V. (Ernest) Lenning, of Harrison, Michigan, Christine P. McLean, of Rochester, Michigan, and brother, Anthony E. (Kathy) Proszkowski, of Shelby Township, Michigan.
Edward was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Joanna Malinowski and her husband Alexander, of Warren, Michigan, and his brother-in-law, Drake A. McLean, of Rochester, Michigan. Edward also was survived by many nieces and nephews from the Proszkowski family and extended family members.
Mr. Proszkowski's cremated remains will rest with his wife at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Harrison, Michigan, along with the photographs of his 3 dogs, 2 cats and 5 birds he so loved in his lifetime.
