Obituary for Elaine Bessie Bunting (Bragg)
Elaine Bessie (Bragg) Bunting, age 92, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Thursday, April 11, 2024, at McLaren Central Michigan.
A Funeral Mass for Elaine will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, April 15, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Fred Kawka officiating. Rite of Committal will take place in Two Rivers Cemetery in Isabella County. The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Sunday, April 14, at Clark Family Funeral Chapel and from 1 p.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass on Monday, April 15, at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Sacred Heart Academy or VFW Post 3033. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel and the church.
Elaine was born on April 16, 1931, in Saginaw, the daughter of Carl Eli and Merine Sophia (Gratopp) Bragg. She married Miles Bunting on June 21, 1952, in Mt. Pleasant, and was a homemaker her entire life. She was a lifelong member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She enjoyed spending winters in Florida as well as traveling to Las Vegas. She loved spending time with her family and reading.
Elaine is survived by her children Greg (Dottie) Bunting of Cedar, Gayla (Randy) Inosencio of Mt. Pleasant and Doug (Linda) Bunting of Kalamazoo; 7 grandchildren Pat (Jen) Bunting, Scott (Jen) Bunting, Andy Bunting,
Randy (Meredith) Inosencio, Michele (Tim) Fishtorn, Tracy (Phil) Borka, and Miles Bunting; 11 great-grandchildren.
Elaine was preceded in death by her husband Miles Bunting; brothers Roger Bragg, Shirley Bragg, Carl “Bill” Bragg, and Eugene Bragg; sisters Kathleen Henry and June Thering.
