BRACKETT, ELIZABETH MAY, age 73, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Sunday, July 30, 2018 at her home.

Elizabeth was born February 9, 1945, in Saginaw, the daughter of Simon and Harriet (Secord) Gaumer. She married Elliott "Butch" Brackett on November 13, 1965, in Saginaw. Elizabeth was a member of Leaton United Methodist Church, and served as outside guardian of the Rebekah's of Michigan. She liked sewing, crocheting, quilting, puzzles, and camping.

Elizabeth is survived by her husband Butch Brackett; daughters Tammy (Jeffrey) Schwalm, Beth (Feliz) Perez both of Mt. Pleasant; 7 grandchildren Sarah, Stephen, Elliott III, Kurtis, Brandon, Elizabeth, and MeKenzee; 4 great-grandchildren; brother Fredrick Joseph (Deanna) Gaumer of St. Mary's, KS; and sister Mary Ellen Handy of MN.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents; son Elliott Brackett, Jr.; and brothers Stuart and Richard Gaumer.

Funeral Services for Elizabeth will be held on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Clark Family Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Michael Palmer officiating. A luncheon will immediately follow at Leaton Road United Methodist Church. Burial will take place at Eastlawn Cemetery in Saginaw on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at 11 a.m. The family will receive friends on Monday from 12-4 and 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday beginning at 10 a.m. until the time of the serve at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.
