Obituary for Emory Michael David

Emory Michael David of Saginaw, formerly of Caro, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 20, 2019 at St. Francis Home in Saginaw, Michigan.
He was born on June 30, 1942 in Detroit, Michigan. He moved to the Thumb Area as a child and attend Caro High School and Graduated in 1960. 10 days after he turned 18, he enlisted in The United States Army and served at Ft. Mead, Maryland until his Honorable Discharge in 1964. He was an extremely proud Veteran and promoted The Armed Forces with gusto!
He is survived by his daughter and fiancé, Jenifer Lynn David and Joseph Samuel Licavoli of Saginaw. His granddaughter, Alix Leah Kridler of Akron and his grandson and wife, Ezra Wayne and Heather Nicole (Ballard) Arnold of Sebewaing. He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Robert "Chooch" and Minnie (Hernandez) David of Kingston; two brothers-in-law, Robert N. McLeod, Sr. of Caro and Hugh Milligan of Cass City; his nieces and nephews: Kathleen, Robert, Jr., James, Cheri, Kevin, Michael, Robert, & Lance.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Alois David & Irene Steffy Malace David Lemanski and his step-father, Chester Lemanski; both of his sisters, Frances Louise (David) McLeod and Rose Mary (David) Milligan; and his nephew, Kirk Milligan.
Papa was an avid Detroit Tigers fan (more so when they were winning) and loved to keep stats and scores from each game. He loved to fish and for years would make his own hooks and ice fishing equipment. He is a member of The American Legion Post #7, Caro, Michigan and partook in the Honor Guard. He was a past member of The Loyal Order of Moose #1049 Caro, Michigan where he spent countless hours volunteering at socials, special events, cook outs and of course, helping to keep things fixed. He was also a long time member of The Tuscola County Archers where he enjoyed practice shoots and socializing. His list of friends is as massive as his loyalty to them. He enjoyed spending weekends just helping out and enjoying "a few cold ones".
As for Dad's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial will take place in the Spring at The Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan with full military honors.The family would like to thank the staff of St. Francis Home, Saginaw, Michigan.
