Obituary for Floyd Noel Berry

FLOYD NOEL BERRY
SEPTEMBER 2, 1934 – JANUARY 18, 2019

Floyd Noel Berry 84 of Harrison, passed away Friday, January 18, 2019 at Pine River Healthcare Center-St. Louis, Michigan. Floyd was born September 2, 1934 in Gladwin, Michigan, the son of Burton and Gretta (Switzer) Berry. Mr. Berry graduated from Gladwin High School, Class of 1953. On June 17, 1970 in Harrison, Floyd was united in marriage to Ms. Eleanor J. Baker (Benmark).
Mr. Berry had resided in Harrison till the time he entered Pine River Healthcare Facility in February of 2016. Floyd enjoyed watching televised Detroit Tigers, Lions and Pistons games. He also was an avid Horseshoe pitcher, and pool player. Floyd always could be found in his garage tinkering and working on his tractors.
Surviving Floyd is his loving wife of forty-eight years, Mrs. Eleanor J. Berry of Mt. Pleasant, three daughters; Shelley Kay Horak and husband Jim of Barrington, Illinois, Jeannine Mann and husband David of Rifle, Colorado and step-daughter, Lori Ann Thompson and husband Gene of Rosebush, Michigan, his step-son, Larry Scott Baker of Mt. Pleasant, four grandchildren; Carly Horak, Brett Horak, Adam Mann and Caleb Mann, one step-grandson, Kyle Baker, one brother, Richard Berry and wife Millie of Harrison, two sisters in law; Dorothy Berry and Joan Berry, plus many nieces, nephews and extended family members. Mr. Berry was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers; William and Glen Berry.
Celebration of Life services honoring Floyd will be held Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Rosebush United Methodist Church, 3805 School St., Rosebush, Michigan 48878, with Pastor Joseph L. Beavan of Rosebush and Elder Roger Haines of Gladwin officiating. Family will receive family and friends from 11:30 a.m. until time of service. Memorial gifts in memory of Mr. Berry may be considered to Pine River Healthcare of St Louis, Michigan or Alzheimer’s Association.
