Obituary for Floyd DeBarr Rundell Jr.

Floyd DeBarr Rundell Jr., age 84 of Harrison passed away Wednesday, October 19, 2022, at his home. Floyd was born December 3, 1937, in Owosso, Michigan the son of Floyd DeBarr Rundell Sr. and Pauline (Swan) Rundell. After graduating from Perry High School in 1955, Floyd enlisted in the United States Navy and honorably served his country from 1955-1959. Floyd was united in marriage to Ms. Sharon Faye Chavey on August 6, 1960, in Owosso. Floyd worked for General Telephone for twenty-eight years, retiring in 1991.
Throughout the years, Floyd enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping. In his older years, Floyd and Sharon traveled the country in their motorhome. He also enjoyed riding around town visiting neighbors and friends. Floyd’s challenges in life were met with strength and courage. He truly had a love for life and all the pleasures that life could bring. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and acquaintances.
Surviving Mr. Rundell is his loving wife, Sharon, one son, David Rundell and wife Jeannine, two grandsons: Beau and Drake, sister-in-law, DaVena and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Rundell was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Elizabeth and one brother, Larry Rundell.
Celebration of Life services and military honors honoring Floyd will be held Saturday, October 29, 2022, at 12:30 p.m. from Clark-Stocking Funeral Chapel and Cremation Service, 165 West Oak St., Harrison. Family and friends are invited to gather for a time of sharing on Saturday, October 29, 2022, from 10:30 a.m. until time of service. Inurnment will be in Pine Tree Cemetery, Corunna, Michigan. Memorial gifts in memory of Floyd may be considered to: Clare County Veterans Freedom Park or Promedica Hospice.
