Obituary for Fred Walter Sims
SIMS, FRED WALTER, age 76, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at Mid-Michigan Medical Center in Midland.

Fred was born March 22, 1942, in Spokane, WA, the son of Howard and Verna (Cook) Sims. He served his country in the U.S. Army. Fred married Suncha Moon in Newport, Washington on September 7, 1971. He worked for Weber Sawmill for several years. Fred was an avid fisherman, loved traveling and spending time with his grandkids. He enjoyed being active with the VA and attended Victory Church.
Fred is survived by his wife Suncha Sims of Mt. Pleasant; daughter Monica Sims of Mt. Pleasant; son Don Sims of Weidman; grandsons Justin Garrett and Zak Sims; brother John (Chris) Sims of Montana; and sisters Betty (Cliff) Drake and Arlene (Darryl) Putney both of Washington.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Frank and Jim Sims; and his sister Salley Carey.
