MULLINS, FREDA LOUISE, age 94, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at Rosebush Manor.
Funeral Services for Freda will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Thursday, April 28, 2022, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Debbie Line Yencer officiating. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery next to her husband. A luncheon will follow graveside services at Leaton United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. and on Thursday beginning at 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Leaton United Methodist Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel or the church.
Freda was born in Logan, Ohio, January 27, 1928, the daughter of Oakey and Flossie (Hopkins) Westbrook. She graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School with the class of 1946. Freda married Harold W. Mullins November 23, 1948, in Mt. Pleasant. He preceded her in death in 2009. She worked the switchboard at CMCH, transportation department at CMU, and lastly, worked for Long & Wetzel Oil Company. Freda was an active member of Leaton United Methodist Church and WSCS. She and Harold bowled for many years on a couple’s league, and they loved camping. Freda was an amazing cook and baked the best peach pie. Her family was most precious to her.
Freda is survived by her children, William Mullins of Lansing, Patty (Kenneth) Cole of Mt. Pleasant, James (Connie) Mullins of Rapid City; 9 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Freda was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers Bob, Jack, Scott; and sisters Jean, Patricia, Gwen “Tudy”, Charlene, and Joanie.
