Obituary for Gary William Reid
REID, GARY WILLIAM, age 61, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Friday, January 17, 2020, at McLaren Bay Region in Bay City.
Gary’s wishes were to be cremated with no formal services. The family will have a private service at a later date.
Gary was born July 26, 1958, in Clare, the son of Gordon and Marian (Marz) Reid. He graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School with the Class of 1976. He worked for The Morning Sun newspaper for several years. Gary loved baseball and football; he was an avid Detroit Tigers and Detroit Lions fan. He liked to spend time with his family and friends, listen to music, and going to concerts.
Gary is survived by his brother James (Theresa) Reid and sister Agnes Waggoner, both of Mt. Pleasant; nephews Michael Waggoner, Matthew (Lesley) Waggoner, Kevin Reid; niece Tracy (Brandon) Garber; and great-nephews Garren Waggoner and Calvin Garber.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents; brother Eugene; and brother-in-law Dennis Waggoner.
