Obituary for Gary Bruce Welch
WELCH, GARY BRUCE, age 65, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Monday, September 5, 2022, at My Mid-Michigan Medical Center in Alma.
A Celebration of Life for Gary will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, September 14, 2022, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Gale Nesbitt officiating. A luncheon will immediately follow in the Reflections Reception Center. Interment of ashes will take place at Pine River Cemetery in Blanchard following the luncheon. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 13, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Humane Animal Treatment Society, 1105 S. Isabella Rd., Mt. Pleasant, MI 48858, or your local food pantry in memory of Gary.
Gary was born February 11, 1957, in Carson City, Michigan, the son of Bruce and Wilma (Young) Welch. He graduated from Montabella High School with the class of 1975. Gary worked many years in the construction business. Gary liked to fish, hunt, and tinker on small motors. He had a great sense of humor and loved to have a good time with family, friends, and Kitty Kitty.
Gary is survived by his daughter Jamie Cooper of Georgia; sons Casey Cornell (StephineRae Atkins) of Crystal, Corey (Elle) McCarrick of Lansing; grandchildren Nolan, Hunter, Gavin, Garrett, Oaklee Rose, Revie Jean, and Arlie Rae; sisters Vicky (David) Kauffman of Blanchard, Julie (Kristin) Lyon-Welch of Coldwater; and several nieces and nephews.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother Larry Welch.
