Obituary for George Ann Wolf
WOLF, GEORGE ANN, age 91, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Sunday, December 6, 2020, at Isabella
County Medical Care Facility.
George Ann was born March 4, 1929, in Mt. Pleasant, the daughter of George and Marguerite (Skinner) DePuy. She was a graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School with the class of 1947. George Ann earned her master’s degree in Education from CMU. She was an elementary school teacher for Mt. Pleasant Public Schools from 1967-1992. In the earliest days of Public Television, she hosted “The Music Room” for CMU Public Television. George Ann was a charter member of Art Reach of Mid-Michigan, former president of the Mt. Pleasant chapter of GFWC, member of First United Methodist Church, and was active in the Hi Fever Follies.
George Ann is survived by her children Stephanie (Ric) Wiltse of Grand Rapids, Max Wolf (Denise Kaiser) of Mt. Pleasant, Suzanne (Harold) Hettenvan of Franeker, Netherlands, Marcie Wolf (Eric Davis) of Good Hart; grandchildren Angela Wolf, Ezekiel Wolf, Jacob Wiltse, and Joseph Wiltse; and Denise’s children, Holly Yon, Jennifer Knott, and Clare Kaiser, as well as six great-grandchildren.
George Ann was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers Eugene and William DePuy.
The family wishes to thank the staff at the Isabella County Medical Care Facility for the loving and compassionate care they gave to George Ann.
Due to the Coronavirus pandemic a memorial service for George Ann will take place at a later date.
