SARGENT, GERALDINE ELSIE, age 100, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Saturday, February 25, 2017, at McLaren Central Michigan in Mt. Pleasant.

Funeral Services for Geraldine will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 3, at Clark Family Funeral Chapel with Pastor Dana Hendershot of Immanuel Lutheran Church officiating. Interment will take place in Memorial Gardens Cemetery. A luncheon will follow in the Reflections Reception Center. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm. on Thursday, March 2, at Clark Family Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Great Lakes Caring Hospice or the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.

Geraldine was born December 20, 1916, in Mt. Pleasant, the daughter of Charles and Charlotte Warner. She married Verco Franklin Sargent on January 14, 1935, and was a homemaker. Geraldine was an avid reader and talented seamstress. She also enjoyed gardening, golfing, bowling and cooking.

Geraldine is survived by her 2 daughters, Charlene (Gordon) Kobs of Tawas and Judy Paullin of Harrison; 5 grandchildren, David, Steven, Gary, Danee and Michelle; 12 great-grandchildren, Ryan, Danny, Matt, Brandon, Joseph, Elizabeth, Andrew, Cody, Ryann, Chase, Alexandra and Cole; 2 great-great-grandchildren, Dallas and Bentley; and sister-in-law Shirley Warner of Midland.

Geraldine was preceded in death by her husband Verco Franklin Sargent on January 31, 2003; parents; sister, Marvel; 3 brothers, Ronald, Durwood and Charles; and son-in-law, Daniel Paullin.
