Gloria Ann (Zammit) Erhardt 82 of Harrison passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, September 26, 2018. Gloria was born September 26, 1936 in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Giovanni Francesco Zammit and Mildred (Yandric) Zammit. On December 26, 1964 in Detroit, Ms. Gloria Ann Zammit was united in marriage to Mr. George J. Erhardt Jr.
Mrs. Erhardt was a faithful and active member of St. Luke Lutheran Church, Harrison. Gloria was very active with her church choir and Bible study group. She enjoyed researching and creating her family tree, crocheting, vegetable gardening and canning, watching Hallmark Channel movies and football.
Surviving Mrs. Erhardt is her husband of fifty-three years, Mr. George J. Erhardt Jr. of Harrison, two daughters; Michele A. Foehringer and husband George of Kingsport, Tennessee and Jaclyn A. Stephens and fiancé Frank Navarro of Cape Coral, Florida, two sons; George Erhardt III of Clinton Township, Michigan and Eric Erhardt and partner Jesse Gardun’o of Sacramento, California, five grandchildren; Tonya Rzeppa and husband Evan, Trisha Stephens, Carly Foehringer, Caryn Foehringer and Christopher Foehringer, one great-grandson, Easton Rzeppa, two sisters; Beverly McElmeel and husband Jim of Clarkston, Michigan and Maryann Murphy of Wallingford, Connecticut, one brother, David Zammit of Lakeport, Michigan, many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Erhardt was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Joan O’Sullivan.
Celebration of Life services honoring Mrs. Erhardt will be held Friday, October 12, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Luke Lutheran Church, 616 South Fourth Street, Harrison, with Pastor Michael Schaedig officiating. Family and friends are encouraged to gather on Friday, October 12, 2018 from 9:30 a.m. until time of service for a time of sharing memories and fellowship. Inurnment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Harrison. Memorial gifts in memory of Gloria may be considered to: Pardee Cancer Treatment Fund of Clare County, 212 W. Sixth St., Clare, Michigan 48617.
